ROCKY HILL - Mother Nature could not keep people from their pasta. Facing snowy conditions, the Senior Pasta Dinner Jan. 28 went better than expected according to Rita Cavallaro. She said the event raised approximately $2,000 for this year's Project Graduation, an alcohol-free, all-night party held for seniors at Rocky Hill High School on graduation night.

Besides a good meal, the dinner guests at St. James Hall were treated to magic performed by Bob Teraila and music performed by "2nd Chance." They were also waited on by members of the senior class, who helped set up, serve and clean up. The students also sold raffle tickets.
The event required little expense as Teraila and the band volunteered their time and all the food and raffle prizes was donated. Steve's Place provided the pasta and meatballs while seniors and their families brought baked goods.

Project Graduation Foxwoods trip

Looking to have some fun and raise money at the same time? Project Graduation is sponsoring a trip to Foxwoods Resort Casino March, 6. The cost is $25 and includes transportation to and from the casino, a buffet and a keno game. Any adult interested in signing up should contact Rita Cavallaro at rcavallaro@cox.net. All proceeds support Project Graduation.
